Persistent Damage X

Damage at the end of every turn until you shake it off.

Persistent Damage has a numeric value — written as Persistent Damage 1, Persistent Damage 2 and so on. The value is the size of the effect.

What it does

  • Take the listed damage at the end of each of your turns.
  • After taking it, attempt a DC 15 flat check to end it.

How it ends

Succeed at the flat check. Appropriate help — such as dousing fire — lowers the DC to 10.

At the table

Asking for help is almost always worth it. Dropping the flat check from 15 to 10 halves the expected number of extra ticks.
