Conditions /D&D 2024
Prone
On the floor. Easy to hit up close, hard to hit at range.
What it does
- Your only movement option is to crawl, unless you stand up.
- Disadvantage on your attack rolls.
- Attacks against you have advantage if the attacker is within 5 feet; otherwise disadvantage.
How it ends
Stand up by spending half your movement.
At the table
The ranged-disadvantage clause is why knocking an enemy prone at distance can help them. Prone is a melee tool.
